Terms of service

These terms cover your use of idodesigns.ca and any order you place with us. They're written to be read, not to be skimmed past — but the short version is: we make personalized things by hand, you check the proof, and we both hold up our end.

By browsing this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

1. Who we are

iDoDesigns is a small custom stationery and gift studio based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. “We,” “us,” and “our” mean iDoDesigns. “You” means you, the person using this site or placing an order.

2. Using this site

You must be the age of majority in your province, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. Please don't use the site for anything unlawful, don't attempt to interfere with how it runs, and don't copy or scrape its content for commercial use.

3. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. We accept your order when we send your confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order — with a full refund — if an item is unavailable, if there's a pricing or description error, if we can't ship to your address, or if we can't fulfil the personalization you've requested.

4. Proofs and your approval

For personalized items, we email you a proof of your design before anything is made. Your approval of that proof is the point of no return. Once you approve it, production begins, and the order becomes final.

Please check the proof carefully — spelling, names, dates, punctuation, layout. Anything approved on the proof is what we make. Errors that were ours to make, we fix free of charge; details you approved are your responsibility. Full detail is in our Returns & Refunds policy.

5. What you send us

When you submit names, wording, images, monograms, or any other content for personalization, you confirm you have the right to use it. Please don't send us anything that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, or that is hateful, obscene, or unlawful. We may decline to produce any content at our discretion and will refund you in full if we do.

6. Pricing and payment

All prices are in Canadian dollars and may change without notice, though a change never affects an order already confirmed. Payment is taken in full at checkout.

iDoDesigns is not currently registered for GST/HST, so no sales tax is added at checkout. If that changes, this page and our checkout will be updated.

7. Shipping

We ship within Canada only, and currently not to Saskatchewan, Manitoba, or Quebec. Production and delivery timelines, rates, and free-shipping thresholds are set out in our Shipping Policy. Timelines are good-faith estimates — we work hard to beat them, but we can't guarantee a carrier's transit time.

8. Returns and refunds

Personalized and made-to-order items are final sale once a proof is approved. Our full policy, including how we handle our own errors and transit damage, is in Returns & Refunds, which forms part of these terms.

9. Colour, materials, and handmade variation

Screens render colour differently, and printed ink on paper never matches a backlit display exactly. Paper stock, finish, and small handmade variations are part of the character of what we do. These natural differences aren't defects and aren't grounds for a refund.

10. Our designs

All original artwork, product designs, photography, copy, and the iDoDesigns name and logo belong to iDoDesigns or are used under licence. Buying a product gives you the product — not the design. Please don't reproduce, resell, or redistribute our designs, digitally or in print, without written permission.

11. Privacy

How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy. Marketing emails are sent only to people who have explicitly opted in, and every one of them carries an unsubscribe link.

12. Third-party links and services

This store runs on Shopify and uses third-party services for payment, shipping, and email. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example, costs arising from an order not arriving in time for an event. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable Canadian consumer protection law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here when you place your order is the version that applies to it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Alberta.
